Want a Mercedes GLS with a power output to match its huge size? Then the 611hp AMG Night Edition model may be for you. Helping to keep all that performance in check are AMG-tuned brakes and suspension – and, being a GLS, it also comes with luxuries like a panoramic sunroof, an augmented head-up display unit and power-adjustment for all seven seats. All seats and even the front and rear armrests come with heating controls, too.

The regular GLS is already a high-end car, and the luxurious Maybach model takes it a step further. Equipment on this spec includes five-zone air-conditioning, laminated windows which help make the cabin quieter on the move and a 3D surround sound system. You can also tell the Maybach model apart from the regular GLS by its shiny chrome grille and huge 23-inch alloy wheels.

As its name suggests, this is an even more opulent version of the already very plush GLS Maybach. Most of the equipment is carried over, though the ‘normal’ Maybach’s three rear seats are replaced with a pair of reclining chairs. The centre console in between the two chairs comes with its own touchscreen tablet controller and a pair of champagne flute holders.
