AMG Line models get sportier looks than entry-level models thanks to huge 20-inch alloy wheels and a subtle AMG body kit. Inside, they add an AMG-branded flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, body-hugging sports seats and ambient lighting with a choice of three colours. Everything else is carried over from the Sport model so you get a man-made leather interior an eight-inch infotainment screen, heated electrically adjustable front seats and climate control.

AMG 43 4Matic models are supposed to bridge the gap between the standard GLE and the ridiculously quick AMG GLE 63 S. As a result, it has a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that launches the heavy GLE from 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds. It has a subtle body-kit and 20-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels. Standard kit includes comfy Airmatic air suspension, and everything you get in Sport models – including a man-made leather interior, heated electrically adjustable front seats and climate control.
