Citroen Berlingo Multispace (2008-2018) interior

The van origins of the Berlingo are hard to hide but the interior does a good job of providing you with a spacious and easy-to-use environment

Style

The plastics used are more durable than good-looking and as a result should hold well to the battering of family life

Up front it’s standard mini-MPV fare, with an elevated driving position, gear knob that sprouts from the dashboard and plenty of equipment to keep the driver happy.

The Berlingo may be based on a van but the interior tries really hard to convince you otherwise and almost succeeds

Infotainment

The plastics used are more durable than good-looking and as a result should hold well to the battering of family life

All models come with a radio with a CD player but top-spec cars come with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment that does make it look up-to-date technologically but the actual system is nothing to write home about – the sat-nav operation is sluggish and you can’t connect your phone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
