Vauxhall Zafira Tourer interior

Inside is where people carriers really need to excel, and the Zafira has always been one of the cleverer mini MPVs.

Style

With a few aluminium trim pieces, the dash a premium feel to it

The dashboard has a premium feel thanks to aluminium trim pieces and soft touch materials. The controls are light and placed where you expect them to be, but the multitude of buttons can be overwhelming at a glance.

This might look like an old-school people carrier, but smartphone-mirroring is standard across the range, and Nav versions come with voice control - all very 21st century

Infotainment

With a few aluminium trim pieces, the dash a premium feel to it

All models get a seven-inch infotainment system with a fairly responsive touchscreen. Entry-level models make do without sat-nav but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the range. So potentially you can have sat-nav, online music/radio streaming as well as social media apps as long as you have a stable internet connection.

Go for one of the trim levels ending in ‘Nav’ and you get Vauxhall’s Navi 950 system which is connected to the internet and has voice control. It’s pretty easy to use and the maps are detailed with 3D street-level view so it’s a pretty good option to spec up. We’d probably stick to connecting our phone to the cheaper system.
